Rejlers to ensure smart solutions at Stortorvet 7 in Oslo

Rejlers has been chosen as an advisor for SMART-technology on the revitalisation and development of Stortorvet 7. Located in the heart of Oslo, this magnificent 32,000 sqm building that faces out onto Stortorvet will house shops, dining options and offices.
Rejlers will help ensure that the building becomes both climate-friendly, efficient and user-friendly for tenants and visitors. Owned by Schage Eiendom, the building will be BREEAM certified ”Very Good”, with a focus on sustainability in both its planning and design.
“Stortorvet 7 will have many different functions and will house shops and offices. We will ensure that the building is perceived as efficient from Day One of its completion, while simultaneously facilitating future development,” says Anders Jåma, Head of Smart Buildings at Rejlers Norway.
There are endless smart possibilities in a building like Stortorvet 7. Rejler’s task will be to understand the needs of the building owner and tenants, and to help them make good choices about technical solutions and infrastructure within the building.
“Smart buildings involve so much more than light sensors and energy-saving measures. Our goal is to make the everyday lives of the people who use the building more flexible and efficient, while also ensuring that sustainable solutions are used. We look forward to helping to shape Stortorvet 7, and to making the building technologically modern and secure prior to its opening in 2023,” says Anders Jåma.
Stortorvet 7 covers a full city block bounded by Karl Johans gate, Nedre Slottsgate, Grensen and Stortorvet. EY is moving in its entire head office into the building, and Spaces will operate meeting rooms and co-working facilities. There will also be shopping and a rooftop terrace with a restaurant and fantastic views.
