Rejlers grows in defence and security with the acquisition of Pondra

Rejlers has today signed an agreement to acquire the technology consultancy company Pondra AB, which is part of the IT group Empir Group AB. The acquisition is part of Rejlers’ growth strategy and means that the company is strengthening its range in the business area Defence and Security. Pondra AB has 18 employees who have extensive experience in defence and public safety, in both the public and private sectors. The acquisition also includes 40 per cent ownership of NESP (Network Enabling System Partner AB).
“We are now strengthening our range in defence and security, while at the same time giving customers the opportunity to benefit from all of Rejler's widespread expertise. The ownership of NESP is also important to us and we look forward to supporting the development of the Swedish Armed forces and FMV,” says Jaime Rico, head of the Defence and Security business area at Rejlers.
The Swedish defence and security sector will be making significant investments over the next ten years and Rejlers is now taking a significant step into the area, where new laws, rules and regulations are placing ever higher demands on stakeholders in both the public and private sectors. Rejlers offers widespread expertise in high-quality services for business development, project management, technical procurement support and technical system development. After the acquisition, Pondra AB becomes part of Rejlers' Defence and Security business area, which has around thirty employees.
“We see great potential for development and it is our aim to double the number of employees in Defence and Security within three years and establish ourselves in yet another market, in line with Rejlers’ overall strategy,” says Jaime Rico.
