Rejlers offers energy partnering as a work model

The construction industry has successfully worked with partnering for a long time – particularly in the public sector. Now this way of working is spreading to the energy sector and Rejlers has been quick off the mark to offer energy partnering as a work model. Trollhättan Municipality's housing company, Trollhättans Tomt has just procured the concept for seven of the municipality’s schools and preschools.

“Our model for reducing energy use fits in well as a starting point in partnering collaborations. For us, this means transparency and mutual trust in the work moving towards the joint targets that have been set,” says Per Sjöbom, Project Manager at Rejlers.

Trollhättans Tomt has previous experience of partnering collaborations in construction projects and Rejlers won the procurement based on good reference projects, organisation, skills and economy for the task.

“We endeavour to identify savings of up to 50 per cent of today’s costs,” says Per Sjöbom.

Property owners with large holdings can reduce their costs quickly and in a structured manner at the same time as the properties are upgraded and increase in value. Per Sjöbom sees a large market for Rejlers' model that provides both sustainable solutions and economic benefits.

Facts about partnering
Partnering is a way of working that has become increasingly common within the construction sector and is now being established in improving energy efficiency. The way partnering differs from other work methods is that the parties are completely open with calculations, hours worked and invoices from subcontractors. The customer and supplier work as a team and the project can be improved throughout the working process, meaning that funds are used effectively.
