Rejlers has renewed its energy marking agreement with Olav Thon Gruppen

Rejlers has now renewed the framework agreement relating to energy marking of buildings and energy assessment of technical plant for Olav Thon Gruppen AS with a focus placed on energy-efficient operation and improving energy efficiency. This is a framework agreement that Rejlers has had ever since the energy marking decree was introduced in 2010. The agreement covers Olav Thon Gruppen including AMFI.

As part of the agreement Rejlers shall employ its multi-discipline expertise on the energy marking of new and existing constructions in the portfolio, present proposals for energy efficiency-enhancing measures as well as carry out second time energy assessments of technical plants. According to the Energy Marking Regulations technical plants shall be assessed in terms of energy every fourth year and buildings shall be energy-marked every 10 years.

“We are proud of this renewed confidence in us and we continue to be an important supplier and cooperation partner with Olav Thon Gruppen,” says Petter Arnesen, Divisional Manager at Rejlers Norge.

“By means of the energy marking decree and the cooperation with Rejlers, we wish to place even greater focus on energy-efficient operation and energy-saving measures,” says Thor-Erik Kolsrud, Director of Operations and Maintenance in Olav Thon Gruppen. “We can see totally clear environmental and financial advantages accruing from the initiation of measures based on the reports that the energy marking provides,” he continues.

This is energy marking of commercial buildings
Energy marking is mandatory for all who sell or let out commercial properties. All commercial properties of 1000m2  and above shall be energy marked at all times. The aim of energy marking is to ensure that the market is informed of the energy condition of housing, constructions and technical plant as well as the opportunities for improvement which can thus create greater interest in specific energy efficiency-enhancing measures, specific measures for conversion to renewable energy sources and provide a more accurate evaluation of houses and buildings when they are to be sold or let out.  Energy evaluation of boilers and air-conditioning plants shall contribute towards such installations operating efficiently and with a minimal impact on the environment. It is NVE which administers the decree.
