Rejlers Embriq signs agreement with Troms Kraft Nett

Rejlers Embriq is signing an agreement with Troms Kraft Nett for delivery of the Quant SmartGrid platform for managing data from over 70,000 automatic electricity meters. The delivery also includes the Quant Flow integration platform and is being implemented in its entirety as a software service delivery.

Central grid company
Quant will handle data collection and validation of data from over 70,000 automatic electricity meters that Troms Kraft Nett will install for all its customers by 1 January 2019. Troms Kraft Nett is the largest grid company north of NTE in Trøndelag, and thanks to its central position in northern Norway, Troms Kraft Nett is a very exciting customer for Rejlers Embriq.

Future-oriented service delivery
“We are looking at major investments in the power grid, where digitization and management of huge amounts of data are crucial,” says Erling Dalberg, CEO of Troms Kraft Nett. “It is essential for us to invest in the right technology that is scalable for future challenges. That’s why we are choosing to acquire a market-leading and well-established system such as Quant,” says Dalberg, who adds: “We have also been keen to choose a solution that gives us a future-oriented complete operational support tool, to which we can add functionality as required. A procurement implemented as a service delivery is thus the perfect approach.”

Market leader
“We are very pleased that Troms Kraft Nett has also chosen the Quant SmartGrid platform,” says Espen Kåsin, Head of Software at Rejlers Embriq. “The agreement initially relates to around 70,600 metering points that Troms Kraft Nett has at present, but both parties expect growth beyond this. We think it’s very exciting that Troms Kraft Nett is choosing to do this as a service procurement – it’s a future-oriented delivery form that we have already gained good experience from,” explains Kåsin. He emphasises that the agreement also includes the Quant Flow integration platform, and adds: “This delivery confirms that we are far and away the market leader on the Norwegian market with the Quant SmartGrid platform, which has now been chosen by customers such as Agder, Hafslund, Nettalliansen, Lyse and now Troms Kraft,” concludes Kåsin.
