Peter Rejler awarded Entrepreneur of the Year in Stockholm region

Chosen from a large field of 400 nominees, Peter received the award at Elite Marina Tower in Nacka, to the east of Stockholm, on Tuesday evening in front of hundreds of entrepreneurs and business leaders from the region. The independent jury that chose the winner consisted of chairman of the jury Tommy Jacobsson (former chairman of Djurgården IF Fotboll and founder of Quesada), Carin Holmquist (Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Stockholm School of Economics), Thomas Ek (founder of OBH Nordica), Melker Andersson (Grupp F12) and Magdalena Forsberg (entrepreneur and former biathlete).

The jury statement said:
With unprecedented energy, this year’s winner has built up his company over the long term to achieve impressive sales and growth. Unconventional methods and a strict customer focus have been used as management principles, something that has transformed the entire industry. Every adversity has been turned into a success by this true competitor and athlete.

“Rejlers has undergone a fantastic journey since Peter took up the post of CEO. Even though the company is listed on the Nasdaq Stockholm exchange, it has managed to retain the feeling of being a family business, thanks to Peter’s unique leadership skills and the way he both challenges and inspires employees. Peter is an inspirational leader and a true entrepreneur who we can all learn something from,” comments Tommy Jacobsson, chairman of the jury.

“This award makes me feel incredibly proud, particularly considering all the great entrepreneurs who were nominated. This is an acknowledgement for me and the hard work of all my staff towards achieving our goals and visions,” says a happy Peter Rejler.

The main prize winner Peter Rejler will now meet five other regional winners from around the country in the Swedish final of EY Entrepreneur Of The Year, to be held on 27 January in Stockholm City Hall. The Swedish winner will then compete against winners from around sixty other countries in the global final in Monte Carlo in summer 2016.
